Hi,

If you're coming here for the first time, Hi! Nice to meet you! And if you're going to read some of my older posts from my old teen angst self circa 2012-13, please excuse the pessimistic and emo tone of the posts. I was an angsty teenager who was struggling to ace her SPM. Please disregard any cringey sentences or remarks. I like to think that I am more mature and at a mentally stable state now. I hope any prior posts would not otherwise influence your perception on me.. Have fun reading! Or not, you do you.

Port Dickson x Melaka

A week ago, my friends and I went on a little roadtrip before I take off to the states next week (heavily breathing). These are the girls who I've ever gone to places with. Starting from Fraser's Hills with adult supervision and then to our first ever alone trip to Melaka after SPM and now to PD and a lil bit of Melaka before I start at a university. Although I am on a really long break, but I needed a vacation. A getaway. A beach. And they gave me just that and I love you guys for that.

Our room at Avillion was crazy beautiful and it was peaceful as it is. With the dim lighting, which is annoying by the way, but yeah, totally romantic. And the sea just outside the balcony. Sleeping with the sounds of the ocean was therapeutic and I wish we could've stayed longer.

The next day, we wanted to go go-karting but due to some money issue (lol, we just didn't want to pay RM25 for a 5-MINUTE ride ok), we went for archery instead. I was surprisingly good at archery... First time ever being good at a sport, took me 20 years to find that out. But honestly, I've got to thank the Arrow himself, Katniss Everdeen and also Princess Mia from the Princess Diaries for all the archery tips that got me going for this exact moment. You have taught me well.

After, we headed to Blue Lagoon. Thankfully, we went during the weekday so the place was not so crowded. The beach took me by surprise because hey, there's actually a nice beach in PD. The water was clear, well, clearer than other beaches and it was nice to spend some time in the water. Got ourselves some sandcastle toys and built some castles, which brought me back to being a child and not worrying about adult things (!!!). Haih I really am not ready to leave home. Was hoping to catch the sunset but some clouds blocked our view, but that's okay.

The last day, we packed our bags and took a little detour to Melaka to eat at Jonker 88 for their cendol & also for lunch. I loved this quaint little cafe because not only the food is good, but also of the decor and how it kinda takes me back to another century where my great great ancestors used to live. That's the kind of atmosphere Melaka sets you in and hence, more reasons to love the city.

Wouldn't mind getting lost with them

I'll miss all of our adventures. All the mini karaokes in Nana's car or wherever we go. Thank you for making me happy and making my life much more interesting and worth living. Love you guys long time. (crying emoji) (heart emoji x100 also)

p/s Writing a travelogue after a long time is hard and I keep on repeating the same words. Also, when can we get emojis on Blogger? Writing without emojis are awkward... Guess I'm just used to Instagram where I can just use emojis as captions.
