Going to the States is a dream come true. But getting the chance to travel here, is more than a dream. It's magical.
Growing up, I've surrounded myself with American movies and TV shows. So, imagine watching Princess Diaries as a kid and feeling the same vibes as Mia would've felt driving up steep roads in San Francisco. Which takes me right back to being 7 years old and watching reruns of the movie at my living room. Or going to LA and reliving 90210 moments walking down Rodeo Drive where Naomi would do her shoppings. Or chilling at Santa Monica where Ivy would be with her surfboard. Personally, going on this trip was nostalgic for me and it was crazy thinking I've been there when I've always seen it through TV screens all these years.
Instead of taking the flight and saving time, we opted out for a road trip instead for all the scenic views such as the early morning's purple sky and the many sunrise and sunsets we experienced. Apparently, driving down from Seattle to San Francisco and then continuing to Los Angeles was not favorable in popular's belief.. haha. It was definitely a long drive from Seattle to San Fran alone which took up 13 hours and having 5 people, in a car, for 13 hours, was not ideal. A lot of backaches was suffered and at one point, I couldn't even turn my neck properly to look at the side view mirror.
But hey, it's all about the road trip experience.
